How can you not love faux fur? It just gets me ready for winter and in such a warm and fuzzy mood, and of course, it saves the lives of innocent creatures from becoming your next clothing item. Faux fur looks just as good and feels almost exactly the same as real fur. Here's a faux fur vest I just got recently. I've worn it twice now and am always looking for more ways to wear it. Also, I know my pup is probably sure glad that it's faux fur and not the real deal;)

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. You can show your support by wearing the colors teal/white sometime this month and make sure you spread the word when you're wearing them!

Below are some great items in teal that you can purchase and just pair them with a white skirt or pants.

If there's a cause you'd like to make known and bring awareness to, please let me know so that I can share it and spread the word.

My Grandma sure knows how to shop. She really picks out great gifts and knows all her grandchildren's styles so well. I got this for Christmas and I LOVE it. It's warm, comfy, big, and stylish. She bought it from TJMaxx. It looks very similar to some of the sweaters that I posted on 12/18/13 - Pattern Love: Fair Isle.

Due to the overwhelming number of repins I got on this picture of Hayden Panettiere, I figured I should probably just make it a Fab Celeb Look of the Day. Now, you'll know exactly where to get everything you need to complete the look.

Check out the pictures and links below to Get the Look. I've given a variety of dresses and boots, so you can choose the one that you like the most or fits your budget.

Who says pastels are just for spring? There are lots of great ways to incorporate pastels into your winter wardrobe, along with wearing what I like to call "winter pastels."

You, of course, don't want to over do it by wearing lots of pastels at once, but you can always incorporate them into your wardrobe in the winter by wearing a pastel shirt or pants and pairing it with sweaters, boots, skirts, leggings, tights, and more. You want to be subtle with the pastels as to not look out there and like you're just clinging to the hope of spring coming soon. In addition, this is a great way to bring a little sunshine into your life and we all know we can sure use that during these cold, winter months.

As for winter pastels, these are pastel colors with a darker/grayer hue to them. They still have that pastel undertone, but aren't as strickily bright or light as your usual pastels. You can see some of my winter pastels, as pictured above, to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

Ahhhh.... it's that time of year again for ugly sweater parties, and the only time of year where it's acceptable to wear them out in public.

Last night we went to an ugly sweater bar crawl and it was a blast. I did an alternative to the ugly sweater and decided to go with a very tacky skirt that I put together myself. I also had on a shirt with a nice, big sequin Santa on it.  But...All you need to do the skirt is a skirt, bows, tinsel, heavy duty tape or glue. If you don't want to wreck your skirt, I would use tape. Except by the end of the night, I was wearing a plain ol' skirt because the bows and tinsel didn't stay on very well with the packing tape, especially moving around, bending, and using the bathroom. Now, all you need to do is jazz up your skirt in whatever fashion you'd like. The tackier, the better! Then, pull it all together with some other wonderful Christmas items to make an outfit with flare. I got my socks from Target and actually got quite a few compliments on those as well last night.

Now go out there and enjoy yourself in style or whatever you'd like to call it!

P.S. With my jazzy outfit, I even won Most Fabulous Holidazzle. I couldn't be prouder.

The reason I am sporting this hat is not because I'm headed out to the ski lodge for a little fun day. It's hat day at school and I decided that was the one I was going to sport, and as I was looking in the mirror this morning I thought, "this would be the perfect outfit to sit in the ski lodge, relaxing with a cup of hot cocoa or cider, and sitting by the fire." I'm not much of a skier, so that's probably exactly what I would be doing. In addition, I needed to wear something "Christmasy", since it is the last day of school before break, so I thought a red sweater would do the trick.

Tip of the Day: If you're planning on wearing a hat all day, put it on before you do your makeup so you can do just the parts that aren't covered by your hat. Why you say? 1) You'll be using less makeup. 2) Your makeup won't rub off and have it just be a complete waste of time putting it on your forehead. 3) You won't get makeup all over your hat.

I can't get enough of the pattern, Fair Isle, especially around this time of year. They make so many different clothing items and designs that encompass this type of pattern. It's fun and different and typically, you only really see it during the winter months because it's not much of a summer look. So, now is the time to take advantage of it by stocking up and sporting it around town.

Check out some awesome Fair Isle finds below from stores near you.
