I was fortunate enough to catch the Katie Couric Show this morning and on it she had one of my favorites, Lauren Conrad. If you don't already know who Lauren Conrad is, you should. She is a fashion guru, blogger, writer, reality star, and philanthropist. Lauren has now embarked on a new endeavor. She was on the show talking about her new website, The Little Market. What The Little Market is is where "they work with artisan groups in developing countries around the world. They provide design insight and showcase the skills of the artisan partners to a broader audience. All proceeds go back to the groups through the sales of their products. The sole purpose to them is to combat poverty, empower communities, and create social justice."

Mission " is to build sustainable partnerships with artisans in developing countries, by connecting them with customers through an online marketplace. We seek to empower women artisans to rise above poverty and support their families.

Our handmade goods showcase the artisans’ traditional skills and their dedication to preserving their artisanal techniques.  We source all of the artisans’ products ethically and practice fair trade  principles. We acknowledge the interdependency of people around the world and our responsibility to help others."

Not only does the shop have accessories, but they also have items for the holidays, baby items, decor, kitchen items, and trunks. They have some absolutely adorable and great products and I still can't believe that it all goes to a good cause. To feel good about what you're doing when you're shopping is a definite WIN WIN! In addition, who wouldn't want to have a great talking piece that they can show off to guests in your home or wear it out and about?!

Check out their website for more information about the different artisans, values, social responsibility, the goods (of course), and more. This is such an amazing shop for what it stands for and for who it benefits.

This is a MUST checkout website/shop!

Unfortunately, and understandably, a lot of stores aren't open today. This gift will only work if you're planning on celebrating Christmas this weekend. You'll have to wait to go out and get the materials tomorrow.

I hope everybody had a very Merry Christmas and enjoyed the 25 days of wearable, handmade gifts!

Merry Christmas Eve! Now if you're a last minute shopper and need to get that final gift for your mom, sister, aunt, or friend, here you go! This is quick, easy, and of course, wearable.

Have it done by today and they could even wear it tonight. So chic, vintage, elegant, and pretty! Just a few of my favorite things.

This pendant would be perfect for any family member, especially if you pair it with a little personalized note about family.

The link is nice because it's a video tutorial.

Here's something different that I haven't had as one of the 25 days of gifts yet. It's a belt, or if you want to do it on a smaller scale, you could make it into a headband. Also, you could do as many or as few flowers as you want.

This project requires little expertise in sewing and it doesn't require that many materials. Always remember... you can change up the color to whatever you'd like. In addition, you could add pearls and rhinestones to bedazzle it up a bit. This especially looks great worn with dresses and skirts. This would be a perfect gift for a friend that may be getting married in the near future.

PictureMy hubby and I in our stunning outfits.
Ahhhh.... it's that time of year again for ugly sweater parties, and the only time of year where it's acceptable to wear them out in public.

Last night we went to an ugly sweater bar crawl and it was a blast. I did an alternative to the ugly sweater and decided to go with a very tacky skirt that I put together myself. I also had on a shirt with a nice, big sequin Santa on it.  But...All you need to do the skirt is a skirt, bows, tinsel, heavy duty tape or glue. If you don't want to wreck your skirt, I would use tape. Except by the end of the night, I was wearing a plain ol' skirt because the bows and tinsel didn't stay on very well with the packing tape, especially moving around, bending, and using the bathroom. Now, all you need to do is jazz up your skirt in whatever fashion you'd like. The tackier, the better! Then, pull it all together with some other wonderful Christmas items to make an outfit with flare. I got my socks from Target and actually got quite a few compliments on those as well last night.

Now go out there and enjoy yourself in style or whatever you'd like to call it!

P.S. With my jazzy outfit, I even won Most Fabulous Holidazzle. I couldn't be prouder.

Nobody can ever have too many maxi dresses. I absolutely love them and now, you can make your own and one for a friend in different colors and patterns. It's also nice because now you can make it the perfect length to fit any person's height.

Even though I already posted a ruffle tee for one of my days of wearable, handmade gifts, I like this one because it's just a little bit different, especially since they use two different colors for the fabric and the shirt. And.... you can never have too many ruffled tops!

This could be genius! I love finding new ways to use jeans that you just don't love as much anymore, but can't stand to get rid of or you might not have the money to buy new pants. If you're doing this as a gift, Goodwill, Savers, or any thrift store is perfect. Don't go out there and buy a brand new pair of jeans that you're going to end up bleaching and dying anyways.

Disclaimer: Just be sure you bring about asking your loved one/friend for their jean size gently because this could backfire if you go about it in the wrong way. As you know, this can be a very sensitive subject for some ladies.

Here's another great gift for the girlie sports fan in your life.

Make it your own with your loved one's favorite college or NFL team.

The DIY doesn't show a ribbon belt, but I think it really looks nice with the belt. It ties the whole dress's top and bottom together.
