 If you haven't heard of Cartwheel by Target yet, have you been living under a rock?! It's time to take a minute or two of your time to download this app., especially if you do a lot of your shopping at Target like I do. However if you don't like saving money, then this isn't the app for you.
Target offers great discounts for items you might have already been planning on buying. They are discounts for items throughout the entire store. They can range from 5% off to 40% off (which is the highest percentage off I've seen, and that was even on winter boots). The app is free, so download it now! You'll thank me later. In addition, I've attached some of Cartwheel's fashion deals that are expiring today. Time to get saving.
What a better way to support your community and get some of your Christmas shopping done, with a little bit for yourself too, then by going out to your local small businesses for Small Business Saturday!
Forget about the big, name brand stores that you usually go to and try something new. Small businesses are fair priced and always carry unique items. You never know what you'll find. I've found some great items from small businesses and not only do you get great items, all the money goes back to people in the community. Can you say that about other stores you shop at? My guess is you don't know where your money's going.
So get out there and stay close to home by supporting Small Business Saturday.
The best way to dress when you're going out shopping is keep it light, but warm enough so you don't freeze, and make sure what you're wearing is comfortable!
The biggest pain to me when I'm shopping is when I wear a coat, and then I have to carry it around in all the stores. I recommend ditching the coat by either wearing a heavier sweater OR puffy vests are perfect for shopping. They give you the right amount of warmth outside, while not overheating you inside. In addition, you can always throw on a scarf for added warmth. I wouldn't suggest wearing mittens/gloves because then the odds are better for losing them. You're better off wearing a hat, as long as you leave it on your head.
Shoes are the most important thing! If you aren't going to be able to walk around in your favorite boots all day, then DON'T! How many people are going to be looking at your feet anyways? Today is about comfort, getting around to the products you want fast, and not needing to take time to sit down and rest. So, just put on those tennis shoes and go. Your feet will thank you!
Believe me, if you follow these tips the people you are shopping with will thank you! It will prevent a whole lot of headaches and crabby, Christmas shoppers.
Once the day is done and you're home reflecting on all your success and the wonderful purchases you've made, grab a glass of wine and throw on your favorite slippers, because you deserve it for a job well done. I've even posted a picture of my favorite slippers.

Today is a time to reflect and give thanks for the many things you have in your life. I could not be more thankful for the past year that I've had. I have never been blessed with so many wonderful things. First, I had the opportunity to marry my hubby, the man of my dreams, in July. Second, we bought our first home together the month before in June, and lastly, we welcomed our little red setter, Leinie, into our family that same month. I continue to thank The Lord for all that I've been given. In addition, I am always grateful for my family and friends who are so loving and supportive in all that I do, my health, having a job/income, a roof over my head, food on the table, and clothes on my back.
Now is a great time of year for being thankful and giving back to your community. I recommend going through your closet and getting rid of any of the clothes you don't wear anymore. A good rule of thumb is to ask yourself, "would I buy that if I saw it in the store today?" If the answer is no, then it's time for that item to go! Once you clean your closet, just that will feel good, but then donate those clothes to your nearest Goodwill, Salvation Army, shelter, etc. in turn, you will be helping out somebody else this season who may not have the finances or means for purchasing their own clothes new and just knowing that you have helped at least one person out, should make it all worthwhile!
Enjoy all that this day provides and give thanks!
Oh and just remember if you eat too much..... Sweatpants are meant for wearing in the privacy of your own home;)

 My black blazer from Marshall's. It even has a pin striped white and black lining. Every girl should have at least one blazer in their collection, and I don't mean the big shoulder pad ones from the 80s and 90s. The ones today are cute and sleek. They're a great piece to dress up an outfit, keep it casual with jeans, or impress in an interview. Currently, I own 4 blazers and I'm looking to add at least two more to my collection. As pictured above, I have on a black blazer (must have color) and I paired it with my all time favorite scarf, along with adding some bling by layering on bracelets. Sometimes, I throw on my thick, black rimmed glasses to give it an even more sophisticated look or I'm just too lazy to put my contacts in. In addition, I have blazers in white, tan, and gray (pictured below with where they are from). All my blazers are different lengths, materials, and looks. I highly recommend going a bit different for each blazer you own so that you don't get bored of them! You don't want to have a cartoon closet. I'm looking to add a navy blazer and red blazer, but of course, they are going to look a bit different than the ones I already have. Below is a picture of the navy one I am thinking about getting from Target, but you can find blazers anywhere!
Extra Tip: Don't forget to roll up the sleeves to give the look an extra pop, especially if the blazer is sporting a fun and different lining. This can make the look that much different. You'll see this in the picture of my gray blazer.
Now go out there and put on your blazer, pair it with your favorite heels or boots, throw on some accessories, and you're good to go!

 The Original Look  My Pinterest Knockoff Since this blog is called "Pretty, Pretty Pinterest and More," I probably should start to have things from Pinterest actually on it.
Here is an outfit I absolutely ADORED when I saw it and once I combed through my closet a bit I realized, "I can do that!"
I was so excited when I tried it a little over a month ago. My husband thought it looked great, and so did I! Unfortunately that night, my 6 month old puppy got a hold of one of my shoes and decided it would be a good idea to chew off the rubber on one of the toes. Let's just say, I was not a happy camper, but then LIGHT BULB!!! This could only mean one thing.....I "had" to buy new pair of Converse Sneakers because they're just too much of a staple item in my wardrobe and who doesn't love a reason to shop? I was able to get a 20% off deal from Famous Footwear. (You can get this deal if you sign up for their app). Gosh I love shopping online! Then just last week, my shoes finally arrived in the mail and I knew I needed to wear this outfit as soon as possible. Luckily, it's perfect for my casual Friday attire today at work. Yes, it's my Friday today!

I know how hard it can be to wrap your mind around having to put all your cute, summer clothes away and get your sweaters out and ready for winter weather, especially if you live in the Midwest. However, some of the cutest and my most favorite fashion trends come out this time of year. Who doesn't love boot socks/cuffs, fleece leggings (If you don't own a pair, you need some. They are AMAZING!!!), and of course, SCARVES?
Here's a great outfit to start easing yourself into the winter mode at work without having to start wearing all those bulky sweaters yet, and this outfit has a great, unique scarf to really tie the whole look together.

 The best way to add flare to any outfit is by layering on some cute bracelets. Recently, I just got 4 new bracelets in the mail to add to my growing collection. What's nice is they're cheap and easy to match with anything. You can always wear them to dress up an outfit. Listed below ( and pictures) are a few of my favorites and if you can't tell.... I love gold!
